Spray sealing is achieved by spraying a thin film of bituminous binder on to a road surface, and then covering it with a layer of aggregate. The bituminous binder acts as a water-proofing layer and prevents water entering the underlying road structure. By the addition of aggregate to the surface of the road, spray sealing gives a long lasting texture for skid resistance.

Every Year, more than 50 Million car or truck tyres reach the end of their life in Australia. Using the rubber from these tyres to modify standard bitumen’s is not only environmentally smart, but greatly increases the performance of the binder. In the 2021/2022 Spray Seal season we have prevented the equivalent of over 350,000 end of life tyres going to landfill, stockpiled or illegally dumped.
RPQ have built a fleet of purpose built “Rubber Ducky’s” that allow manufacturing of crumb rubber binders at the point of use. This dramatically reduces the settling out of the binder during long travel times. Our products are of the highest quality and meet all Austroads specifications. Our products are rigorously tested in our Nata certified on-site laboratories. These Rubber Ducky’s ensure that our customers get what they paid for.
